fast bikes and FREEDOM

It was such a great experience. Our First unfinished dream completed. Todd wanted to ride a bike, so we thought hey this a dream that we can complete. I went and talked to Mark McLaughlin the owner at Bicycles Unlimited here in St. George. I explained to them the situation, and they were all over it. They did not even hesitate to help. So today we went on the riverside bike trail, and Mark from Bicycles Unlimited met us down there and we had about eight or nine other residents and about 5 staff members and Todd's family there to support him. KCSG news was there to help us document this awesome moment.

Unfinished Dream-Making Life Complete

Buckets lists, simple pleasures, fond memories are things that we all have, regardless of age. Unfinished Dreams-Making Life Complete is a foundation set up for elderly people to be able to complete some of THEIR unfinished Dreams. It doesn't matter if their dream is to....

Visit the beach....

Go in a hot air balloon....Go to a professional baseball game and eat a hot dog....
Or go back to the town they grew up in....

Unfinished Dreams is a foundation made to help peoples list of dreams at least decrease by one. Many dreams have maybe felt so simple, that they might have put them off for other things(i.e. family, money, time). Well now is the time to fulfill these Unfinished dreams.

I have had multiple occassions, that I have helped pick up one of our residents from an appointment or outing, and have asked "Where do you want to Go?" Often the response has been "I want to go back home to Tennessee", or "Hey lets go to Vegas!!" I have also heard people say how much they want a visit from their family that lives across the country. My thoughts have been: "Let's Go to Tennessee" " Why not" "Hey let's do this". Well here it is, this is the opportunity for us to be able to pay back this great generation of people, that have fought for our freedom, have raised us and our families, and have taught us so many important lessons.

If you are interested in fulfilling the dream of a loved one or someone you know, please e-mail your entries to travis@kolobcare.com.

Sweet Dreams!!
